Student support

We have a range of support services on offer to ensure you thrive at ACU. From your first visit to campus through to your graduation and beyond, we’re here to help you every step of the way.

If you have questions about studying with us, the AskACU team has you covered. You can search the FAQs, text us, live chat or call one of our friendly AskACU staff – whatever works for you.

Fees and scholarships

Studying is a big financial commitment, but we’re here to support you. Discover how to understand your university fees, work out if you're eligible for scholarships or financial assistance, and learn what other expenses you may have to pay.

Fees shouldn’t be a barrier to you achieving your dreams. We’ve worked hard to make our fees simple and transparent, with a range of financial assistance options.

We believe where you come from doesn’t have to define where you’re going. And while there are financial commitments that come with university study, this shouldn’t stop you from pursuing your goals. That’s why we offer almost 400 scholarships to support you along the way.

Entry options and pathways

There’s always another way. If you need more options for entering the undergraduate course of your dreams and want to either increase your chances of getting in or accelerate your studies, pathways and entry programs may help.

ACU Guarantee

To support your journey to university, our ACU Guarantee program is here to help. It assesses you for entry to ACU based on your Year 11 results, and you could receive an offer as early as July.

While successful applicants must still complete their Year 12 exams, you’ll be secure in the knowledge that your marks from Year 11 meet our entry requirements.

Applications open from June 2021.

Veterans Entry Program (VEP)

If you’re a current or former member of the Australian Defence Force, you might be eligible for ACU’s Veterans Entry Program (VEP) and Student Veterans Support Program (SVSP).

The VEP aims to increase accessibility to higher education for current and ex-serving defence members by allowing you to have your military service converted into an entry rank. As a student veteran at ACU, you will also have access to a range of support services and academic resources.

Elite Athlete and Performer Program

The Elite Athlete and Performer Program (EAPP) is designed to give students who are elite sporting or artistic performers the tools they need to achieve balance across their active and academic lives.

Eligible athletes and performers applying to study at ACU can receive up to five adjustment factors.

Find out what support services are on offer and apply to the EAPP today.

IHEUs provide academic support, cultural activities, tutorial assistance and networking and professional development opportunities. They also offer a range of tailored study options, entry pathways, scholarships and student services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Learning abroad: Going overseas during your degree

You want to see the world. And we want to help you change the way you see it.

Experience a new perspective by studying overseas and gain credit towards your degree at the same time. We have more than 200 partner institutions and a huge range of international opportunities for you to choose from.

You can join a study tour, complete an internship, do a semester or short exchange, participate in community engagement, take our unique international Core Curriculum program, or head to our Rome Campus.

Learning abroad programs can be as short as two weeks or as long as a year, and there are generous travel grants available.

Virtual global learning programs are also available for students wishing to gain an international study experience from the comfort of their own home.

Please note, overseas travel opportunities are subject to public health restrictions in place at the planned time of travel.

Our Core Curriculum helps students look at the world with empathy and confidence; to listen, take the lead and challenge stereotypes. There is no better place to practice these skills than studying overseas. We offer the opportunity to study the Core Curriculum abroad in Rome, Beijing, New York or Leeds. Please note, overseas travel opportunities are subject to public health restrictions in place at the planned time of travel.
